This half term we are learning about structures and this week we looked at some famous towers. Children took part in a focused practical task to build a free standing tower using marshmallows and spaghetti. The children quickly realised this isn’t as easy as it sounds!!
The children needed to think of ways to make the structure as strong as possible for it to stand up. Lots of concentration and perseverance was was required but all the children enjoyed having a go.

This week we put together our books for the Bookfest competition. We wrote out our stories, illustrated them and gave them a front cover and a title. We then added our author information and a blurb on the back cover. Can you spot your story here? Fingers crossed, we might even get a winner from one of these!
