Class 3 home learning 23.2.21

Good morning Class 3! I hope you’ve all adjusted back in to the groove of home learning! I’m looking forward to seeing and speaking to you all at 2pm today.

Maths:

As normal, please start by warming up on TT rockstars,  have a go on garage mode, studio (try and level up your rock status) and soundcheck and then challenge some of your friends!

Then try out daily multiplication tables challenge 13 – 24 Times Tables sheet

Today’s worksheet: Division to solve problems

Check your answers using the answer sheet

English/Reading:

If for some reason you were unable to read chapter 1 of Secrets of a Sun King yesterday, you will need to do so now in order to complete today’s activity which is a comprehension on chapter 1! Comprehension Questions

History:

Our History topic this half term is: The Industrial Revolution! We will be looking in depth at the different types of technologies that were created that helped build the modern society we live in today! Click here to watch a BBC video on industrialisation. Once you have watched the video, I would like you to list the positives and negatives impacts of all aspects of society during the Industrial Revolution. For example, a positive impact on society could be that more jobs were created.

DT:

Now that we have all successfully, planned, designed, made and consumed our amazing pizzas (I am genuinely very, very impressed by all of your effort), I would like you to write an evaluation on your project. If you’ve been documenting your work in a powerpoint, you could write this on your final slide. If not, it can be a stand alone piece of writing. I know some of you have done self-evaluations, but I’d just like a little bit more detail and critical thinking! I would like to know:

  1. Did you have to change your initial design at all?
  2. How did the pizza taste?
  3. Could you improve on your pizza design at all?
  4. Is there anything you would have done differently?
  5. If you shared your pizza with family, what did they think of it?

Please continue to practise your spellings and complete your 2do’s on purple mash! See you at 2pm!
