Good morning Class One. I hope you’ve had a lovely week so far. Here are your home learning tasks for today!
Warm up:
Lets go on a jungle adventure and wake ourselves up ready for some more home learning today:
Maths:
Reception – we are continuing to subtract this week, or take away.

Have a go at this game with your grown-up. They don’t always have to be the one covering the objects though, see if they can subtract too!

Years One and Two – today we are continuing to subtract but this time we are crossing ten which means we will be subtracting a one-digit number from a two-digit number. Remember we can do hard things! You might want to have a number line to help you out. If you don’t have one, please let me know and I can get one ready for you today to collect from school, or you could have a go at making your own which is much more fun!

Years One and Two – today we are looking at alternative spellings for the f phoneme. This can be made by using f, ff, ph and gh. Have a look here for some examples:

Now take a look at my table and see if you can sort the words into the correct columns.
English:
Reception – watch the video below about a little girl who finds an Orangutan in her bedroom. What do you think an Orangutan would do in your bedroom? Draw and colour me a picture and write what the Orangutan would do. I hope he doesn’t make too much mess!
Years One and Two – Mrs Jones gave you a video yesterday to watch about Orangutans. Today I would like you to watch the video below and then to tell me how the characters are feeling. I’ve made a table to help you.
Science:
Whole Class – why do we need food? Does it matter what we eat?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z2pxpv4 – Let’s sing the five a day song.
Watch the video below on how we can keep ourselves healthy.
