Years One and Two – Orangutans live in Sumatra and Borneo. Can you find out which continent they are in and write a non-fiction report about Orangutans?  I need a drawing with a caption, a title, where they come from, what they look like, where they live and an amazing fact to finish. Use the attached template to help you set your work out correctly.

Whole class – Today we are going to find out about Purim. This is a Jewish ceremony about rescue and safety. Watch the powerpoint about Esther.

Jewish families celebrate Purim by making biscuits in the shape of Haman’s hat. These are called Hamnstachen.  They look a little like folded jam tarts.  For your lesson today, try making some of these at home.  I’ll also try to do some too.

Reception – an activity that is popular to celebrate Purim is to create a crown to wear. Your task this afternoon is to create a crown and show me it at our Teams meeting at 2pm.  I’m looking forward to seeing your crown and maybe your biscuits too!

Years One and Two – watch the powerpoint and answer the questions about Esther and Purim.  I’ll be on Teams to check your answers and admire your biscuits at 2:30pm!
