Good morning! We’re back to the beginning of another week.

I hope you had a lovely weekend, it would be great to see some photos of what you have been up to.

Today and for the rest of the week we are going to have a look at the story ‘Where the Wild Thigs Are’.

Go to stories on Class Dojo and you will see a video of me reading the story. Once you have listened to the story use some blocks to build a house for the wild things. Before you build the house, guess how many blocks you think you will need to build a house. Whilst you are building the house count how many blocks you use. What shape are the blocks that you are using? Are some of them square? Or rectangle?

For phonics today try this activity. It is taken from the Letters and Sounds document but I have adapted it a little. Find some puppet or cuddly toy animals and make the sounds that they make. How many of each animal do you have? Would they all make exactly the same sound?

See if you can make a Wild Things mask. Choose a character from the story and use whatever you need to make it. You could use a paper plate, wool – anything!

Have a lovely day, Leanne.
