As the Summer Term continues we are looking forward to our Nursery leavers performance and party on Monday the 18th of July. The children have lots of ideas about what they would like to do for their performance!

St. David’s Day.

Over the last two days we have explored all things Welsh to celebrate St. David’s Day. We have made Welsh Rarebit and tried leek and potato soup, as well as Welsh cakes. We have looked at daffodil flowers and painted our own pictures and are also saying hello and counting in Welsh now!

Random Acts of Kindness

In Nursery yesterday we shared some ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ with the grown ups in Nursery and School. Our ideas for being kind were making cards and pictures, giving chocolates and using lots of kind words, as well as giving lots of hugs!

Food fun!

We have been taking part in lots of food activities recently. On Friday we made some pitta pizzas for snack.

Today for Valentine’s Day we have made some chocolates from scratch. They were yummy!

Our Visit to the Library Van.

Yesterday we visited the Shropshire Library Van. We put on our high vis jackets and took our library cards. After a little walk to the van we spent some time looking at all of the different books. We chose one book each! The Dinosaur Who Pooped a Pirate and Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World were vey popular.

We’ve had a busy end of the week. We’ve had lots of stories, some of us brought some in from home to share and we made a lovely (slightly) healthy treat with pastry, strawberries and raspberries. They were delicious!
