Home Learning Wednesday 6th May

Hi Class 2,

I hope you all enjoyed starting your family tree yesterday? I am really looking forward to seeing what creative presentation ideas that you have come up with. Some of you managed to send me what you were working on yesterday and I was delighted to see your facetime/skype conversations and family tree designs. Fantastic work! Here are today’s tasks:

Maths
For your maths warm up I would like you to go on a scavenger hunt around the house and garden. Try to find an item that is approximately 10cm long, an item that is approximately 20cm long and an item that is approximately 30 cm long. Now measure your items – how close were you?

Here are today’s White Rose materials. Please find the links for the videos and the activities below.

English

I would like you to choose a family member and write a short biography about them. It could be the same family member that you have interviewed or you can choose somebody else if you prefer. Here is a template that you can use. You can type directly into the template or you can use the headings and write it neatly into your books.

Biography – fact file

Topic

I would like you to continue to work on your family tree from yesterday. When we return to school, I thought that you could bring in your family tree project to show to the class. I am looking forward to seeing what you produce. Remember that you can also take photographs of any work that you have done and email them to Mrs. Williams for the school display.
