Weighing and measuring

Today in Maths we weighed and measured ingredients to make pirate cookies. We’ll be bringing them home this evening to share with you. We had lots of fun using the scales and mixing all the ingredients together – some of us got a little bit floury when it came to making our cookie!

READATHON SPONSOR MONEY REMINDER!

Hello everyone!

Just a reminder that the sponsor money for readathon is due in this week! The children have all been telling me how much they’ve been reading in order to raise money for readathon which is amazing!

If you would rather make your donation online you can do so via the readathon website by clicking on the ‘sponsor a pupil’ tab at the top of the page: https://readathon.secure.force.com/sponsor

If you would like to know more about readathon and the brilliant work they do, this page on their website is very useful: https://readforgood.org/the-difference-we-make/

Thank you for all your support!

CONGRATULATIONS GO TO CLASS 2 for a superb collection total.  Well done!

click here to see our Foodbank Challenge Results

Every class, including the Nursery, have all collected an amazing amount of items, the best this school has ever achieved!

We would like to thank each and everyone of you for all support in providing items for the Market Drayton Foodbank and thanks also to Reverend Becky for taking all our items (on several visits) to the Foodbank.

This has been a truly amazing community show of support to others less fortunate than ourselves, especially during this current time.  Thank you!

Cooking at Forest School

Today at Forest School we made Superworm bread sticks to cook on the fire. We learnt how to shape the dough onto a skewer and safely build and use fire to cook them. We also harvested the sweetcorn we planted in the Summer and ate those too. They tasted very fresh!
