Sex Education

The Governors have agreed to include Sex Education as part of the school curriculum and have approved the Health and Sex Education Policy. Sex education is included in the school’s two-year curriculum plan and will form part of a theme entitled `Ourselves`. The emphasis is on relationships, responsibility and health. Parents are given the opportunity to see teaching materials before they are introduced in the classroom, with an explanation of how they are to be used. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from any aspects of Sex Education which are not part of the National Curriculum. A copy of the school’s sex education policy is available for viewing at the school.
