It’s Friday again and almost the weekend!

For Flexi Fingers today grab some pegs and help Mummy or Daddy hang some washing! Maybe you have some doll’s clothes that need to be hung up too?

Print off and copy this matching cards game, you could even make your own snap game with it. If you can’t print it, why not draw the pictures yourself to make your own game? T-S-021-Where-the-Wild-Things-Are-Matching-Cards-and-Board.pdf (twinkl.co.uk)

For Phonics today have a listen to Hickory Dickory Dock and sing the song as the actions happen on this video.

Have a lovely weekend. I would love to see some photos of what you get up to, Leanne.

Good morning!! I hope you are having a good week so far!

For Flexi Fingers this morning, grab some pipe cleaners or string and a colander. Now push the pipe cleaners / string through the holes in the colander.

Make some Where the Wild Things Are feet!

Where The Wild Things Are & Monster Activities for Kids | Alpha MomYou will need at least two differently coloured cards, scissors, glue and any other craft materials you would like to make the feet look furry.

On one of your coloured pieces of card draw a big monster foot template and then cut it out. As illustrated in the picture cut a little arch to fit your feet through. Now cut some triangles for toenails and glue them on. Add the other craft bits.

Now see if you can move around the room like a Wild Thing!!

Go to Class Dojo for a story and a Beat Baby activity.

Have a lovely day, Leanne.

Good morning! Today we will continue with Where the Wild Things Are. I hope you enjoyed the story yesterday.

Today to get your fingers warmed up, have a go at colouring in some Where the Wild Things Are characters.

T-T-1355-Where-the-Wild-Things-Are-Colouring-Sheets.pdf (twinkl.co.uk)

Like in Where the Wild Things Are can you have a ‘rumpus?!’ Can you roar?

Can you gnash? Can you march? Can you jump? Can you be still?

For some number fun, try this: Make a board like this.

Image result for 5 number board and then print put the characters T-T-1358-Where-the-Wild-Things-Are-Story-Cut-Outs.pdf (twinkl.co.uk) (do two pages to a sheet to make them smaller) Now cut them out and put the correct number of characters to the numerals.

For phonics today have a listen to Jolly Phonics and see if you can remember the actions to the songs.

Good morning! We’re back to the beginning of another week.

I hope you had a lovely weekend, it would be great to see some photos of what you have been up to.

Today and for the rest of the week we are going to have a look at the story ‘Where the Wild Thigs Are’.

Go to stories on Class Dojo and you will see a video of me reading the story. Once you have listened to the story use some blocks to build a house for the wild things. Before you build the house, guess how many blocks you think you will need to build a house. Whilst you are building the house count how many blocks you use. What shape are the blocks that you are using? Are some of them square? Or rectangle?

For phonics today try this activity. It is taken from the Letters and Sounds document but I have adapted it a little. Find some puppet or cuddly toy animals and make the sounds that they make. How many of each animal do you have? Would they all make exactly the same sound?

See if you can make a Wild Things mask. Choose a character from the story and use whatever you need to make it. You could use a paper plate, wool – anything!

Good morning!

Using some of the play dough that you made yesterday or some you already have and some craft materials make a model of a bird. So, if you have some feathers or googly eyes, add those to your play dough.

Go outside and enjoy the fresh air and look for some twigs and sticks and make a nest for your play dough bird. How can you keep him warm? I would love to see some photos of your play dough bird in his nest!

Today we will look at the number 4. Can you draw a number 4 on your garden path using chalk? Can you use a paintbrush and water to draw a number 4 on the path? How about  this funny one – can you draw a number 4 on Mummy or Daddy’s back? Can they draw one on your back?

Don’t forget to have a look on our website if you need any more ideas. Here is the link:

Good morning, I hope you had a great Monday!

To start the day lets warm up our fingers with a scissor activity. Print off or copy the bird pictures from the link below.

birds-shadow-matching-printable.jpg (464×600) (funnycrafts.us)

Now use your scissors to cut around the pictures to make some cards. This will help you practice your scissor skills and refine your fine motor skills.

Later you can play snap or matching games if you do two copies.

For another activity take a walk and see if you can spot any birds. Copy this link for a bird spotting sheet.

For todays phonics activity have a go at this: Enlivening stories:

Involve the children in songs and stories, enlivened by role-play, props and repeated
sounds, for example acting out:
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall (bump, crash, bang!)
All the King’s horses and all the King’s men (gallop, gallop, gallop)
Couldn’t put Humpty together again (boo, hoo, boo, hoo, boo, hoo).

You can have lots of fun with this one!

Have a lovely day, Leanne.
