Class 3 home learning 25.3.20

Hello all! I hope you’re enjoying your home learning tasks. The feedback I have received so far has been positive so let’s keep up the good work!

Maths: The maths questions today are reasoning questions related to yesterday’s learning.

RN 1a

RN 5a

RN 9a

English: Today’s task revolves around the children applying their learning from yesterday based on expanded noun phrases.

I would also like the children to listen to David Walliams reading a short story at 11am via the following link. Once they have listened, I would like them to write a short summary of the story accompanied by an illustration of their favourite part! Please feel free to share pictures of your work on the ‘portfolio’ section of class dojo! I’d love to see them!

I have assigned several activities on purple mash as well as the next french lesson on duolingo.

Please continue to do P.E with Joe everyday via youtube and share any pictures or videos of your work via ‘portfolios’ on class dojo!

Have a great day!

Class 3 home learning tasks 24.3.20

Today’s activities are attached and will be somewhat more familiar to the children. With regards to the maths worksheets, there are 3 and the children should know which numbered questions they usually work on in school.

There is also a differentiated grammar activity attached, the children can select which sheet they think they can challenge themselves with.

I am hoping you all got on to “P.E with Joe” yesterday and would recommend this becomes a daily activity following the new guidelines released from the Prime Minister today, restricting everyone from getting out and about!

You will also find a design activity attached for the children to try and inspire their creativity as well as educate them about Covid-19.

Purple mash has been experiencing a high level of users and the website has become a little unpredictable. I would recommend completing the set tasks first, and then using purple mash in the afternoon. I am also asking for a CGP test to be completed everyday in all 3 books (Maths, English & Reading).

I have found this online cooking tutorial which will be streaming live if you’re interested in making some pasta at home! (As there’s none in the shops)!

Any questions please email me or message me on Class Dojo!

Have a fab day!

Class 3 home learning tasks 23.3.20

Hello Class 3, I hope you have had a good weekend! I have attached some activities for you to complete and have also assigned some activities on purple mash if you check the ‘2do’ area. The children can also work on the maths code breaker activity that was sent home in their learning packs as well as completing a CGP SATS buster in each of the three books.

Writing activity

Vocabulary Activity

I am also recommended an online led P.E lesson everyday with Joe Wicks via youtube.

Once these activities have been completed, the children can access learning games on purple mash, fiction express for reading and TTrockstars to challenge themselves.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me!

Have a great day of learning.

Flour Baby project

Over the next week Class 3 are looking after ‘flour babies’ to try and understand some of the responsibilities of looking after a real baby.

The following rules need to be followed:

These rules need to be followed:

*The flour baby must be brought to school each day.

*The flour baby must be kept safe, warm and clean.

*Time should be put aside for naps, changing nappies, bathing etc.

*The flour baby must be taken everywhere with you unless you can find a willing babysitter.

*The flour baby can be dressed in clothing if you so wish.

*Every day you need to fill in a diary entry recording your experience of looking after the flour baby. You will need to describe what you have done for, and with, the flour baby, as well as describing your feelings about the responsibility
