School is currently closed for most pupils.
From Wednesday 6th January 2021 school will be open for children of keyworkers or those considered vulnerable only.
Please only send your child into school if you cannot have them at home, therefore for keyworkers only when you are working.
As of 6th January 2021, all keyworker places have been assigned to those parents who have proved their status, and places are not up for review until Friday 15th January at the earliest.
In the light of national virus rate increases it is unlikely that there will be any change in spaces then and we will currently continue to only accept children when keyworkers are actually in work and no other care is available.
Reviews of spaces will then be regularly undertaken every Friday.
Your child’s teacher will be in contact regarding remote learning provision as soon as possible.

Reach for the Stars!
Cheswardine Primary and Nursery School is a unique school and a unique learning experience. We bring together the strength of our traditions and the vitality of our vision to create an environment that inspires individual achievement.
Whatever their age, each new child will be given a warm welcome and encouraged to be fully involved in the life of the school.
In September 2019 Ofsted visited our school and stated:
“· Pupils’ progress is good and improving in English, Mathematics and Science.
· Pupils enjoy school
· The support for pupils with SEND is very effective across the school.
· The teaching of early reading is effective.
· Pupils’ good behaviour allows learning to happen.”
