Admissions Policy (Primary Schools)
The school’s current admissions policy is operated by the County Council as local education authority (LA) on behalf of the school. Information about the arrangements for admission are set out in the “Parents` Guide to Education in Shropshire” copies of which are on the Shropshire Council website
and held in school for reference. They are also available from:
The Admissions Team,
Learning and Skills,
Whilst it is helpful if parents can let school know at an early date if they would like their children to attend in due course, offers of places can only be confirmed by the LA in the academic year before the child is due to start school.
Parents considering applying to the school are welcome to visit. Please make arrangements with the Headteacher.
The school works closely with Cheswardine Nursery to provide early years education for children who have reached four years of age, in accordance with regulations in Shropshire’s Early Years Development Plan. New reception children may spend three half day sessions in the school arranged in the last few weeks prior to becoming full time pupils.
