Meals

Children within Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a Universal Free School Meal funded by the Government. They can take a hot meal or a grab bag, consisting of a bap, piece of fruit, juice and a cake or biscuit.
There is always a choice of dinner provided by Shire Services from Hinstock Primary School kitchen. Free dinners are available for those who qualify, click on the link below to see if you are eligible. All information given is treated in the strictest confidence.

Packed Lunch

If preferred, children may bring packed lunches. Drinks may be sent but not in glass bottles. Each child is given their own plastic bottle which they can obtain water from their classroom.

Healthy Eating

As part of the school’s aim of encouraging good health only fruit may be eaten at morning playtime. Fruit is available free to all children in Class 1 which is supplied by the National Fruit Scheme. A tuck shop also operates in school and profits go towards items chosen by the school council.
