Here is your homework sheet to be completed and send a photo to dojos please.
You can either print it out to complete and take a photo or just write the answers out on paper and take a photo or use the pdf writing tool to answer on the screen and take a photo. Whichever works best for you.
Today Class One (and Nursery) completed their first Daily Mile. Unfortunately the grass was too wet to run around so we ran, jogged and walked our way around the playground instead! We hope to do this every day as a way of promoting health, exercise and fitness into our school routine.

Good morning and welcome to what is hopefully our last day of home learning! I can’t wait to see you all back in the classroom next week. Teams today will be to continue our guided reading stories so look out for your invitations. Years One/Two don’t forget to do your spelling test and let me know your scores.
Phonics
Reception – join Mrs Whitehouse for phonics.
Years One/Two – let’s consolidate our learning so far with these activities. Use the pin code UN2178 to access.
Whole class – today with Joanna we are putting together a biography on our favourite author. I don’t mind who you choose to write about. My favourite author when I was your age was called Enid Blyton. Watch Joanna’s video and then complete the worksheet. Remember that names need capital letters please.
Reception – I loved seeing your shape pictures yesterday. Start by watching Shape by Shape. I wonder what the shapes will make? Today let’s have a look at describing shapes. What makes a square a square? Does it look the same as a circle? Can you draw and describe the following shapes for me please? A square, a rectangle, a circle, a triangle, a star and an semi-circle.
Years One/Two – today is all about measuring. Have a look at my worksheet and see what you can measure today.
Whole class – last week we started to look at different types of flight and you found out about the Wright brothers. Today we are going to find out about how flight changed because of their invention. Watch the song below and see if you can come up with a dance routine to go with it. Be careful when you loop-the-loop!
Watch Proud to be a Pilot. Years One/Two your task is on my video below.
Reception – I wold like you draw/paint/collage a form of flight. You might want to choose a hot air balloon, an aeroplane, helicopter or rocket. I would like these to be as creative and detailed as possible please.
Years One/Two – we are reading words with the _est ending. Look at Crater Creature Countdown and select _est. Play alongside me first. Can you beat my score below?
Reception – today we are looking at shapes. Watch Mouse Shapes and then have a go at making a shape picture yourself. Can you name the shapes?
Years One/Two – today we are subtracting length, which means we are making numbers smaller. Watch the video carefully before completing your worksheet.
Whole Class – today is World Book Day so I’ve included two activities for you to do today. One is a character scavenger hunt and the other is based around Alien’s Love Underpants. Watch Maggie read the story and then create your own alien for me. You could make this 3D or simply draw and colour this on paper for me. If you are in Years One/Two please could you also write some sentences describing your alien for me. Year One please use some great adjectives and Year Two please use expanded noun phrases to describe (adjective, adjective noun = big, blue butterfly).
We’re looking at contractions today. This is where we use an apostrophe to make a word shorter. Have a look at my video and see if you can beat my score over on Crater Creature Countdown. Then try the worksheet.
Reception – watch my dinosaur powerpoint and then have a go at some of your own subtraction work. Once you’ve completed the sheet, have a go at writing some subtraction sentences of your own.
Whole Class – for Science this term we are learning about forces and motion. Watch the videos below to find out about different types of forces. Then compete the worksheet below.

Today you are going to write out your adventure story from the plan you created yesterday. Look carefully at the sequence of events in your plan so you know where to start and where you are going with it.
Don’t forget, particularly year 1 and 2 you can add details and more information to your story as you are writing. Year 2 I would expect you to expand on the notes you put in your plan.
Here is a reminder of your writing success criteria and don’t forget to write as neatly as you can and re-read your sentences to check they make sense.
