Cheswardine Nursery Session Form
Increase to Nursery Fees from September 2023
Through the Early Years curriculum Cheswardine Nursery encourages children to develop independence, to appreciate the wider world and develop the skills of learning and enquiry.
We accept children from the age of two and keep them with us until they go to Reception.
Cheswardine Nursery learns through play and we love getting messy! So.…. your children will definitely need a spare change of clothes!
We encourage the children to be their best selves and use good manners and show respect for not only their peers but also adults too. We use ‘kind hands’, ‘kind feet’ and ‘kind words’ to ensure this. We also work in conjunction with school in using ‘Be respectful, ready and safe’.
As a Nursery, independence is promoted from the moment your child steps through our door and is encouraged on any occasion.
We have close links with Reception, but actually have a very close relationship with the whole school. Every day our children join the rest of the school for lunch in the school hall and every Friday we join in with the whole school celebration assembly. We also perform at different school events including the Leavers Assembly and Christmas church service.
Those Nursery children who are allocated a Reception place by Shropshire Council into Cheswardine Primary School have transition days and join in with PE activities. However, we have many days throughout the year where we visit Class One to join in with different activities taking place and Class One love to come along and visit Nursery too. This joint working all goes a long way to ensuring our children are not phased by their surroundings or new teachers.

Why not come along and see for yourself? Before you do, take a quick look below at what lovely things parents have said about our Nursery…..
All three of my kids have been to Cheswardine Nursery and they have loved it, as well as the staff who have been fantastic. Especially with my youngest son who is deaf, they gave him the help and support he needed at the time. Lizzie
My child attended the nursery. Highly recommended. He loved the nursery and absolutely adored the staff. Very welcoming and he always came home with activities they had done in nursery. Staff are lovely. Alice
My Son has Trisomy 21/Down Syndrome, he also has special needs and very complex medical issues. He was accepted into Cheswardine Nursery with open arms, they went out of their way to meet his needs and include him in every aspect of nursery, just like the other children. I was terrified leaving him but the nursery team turned into a second family for him. His progress was absolutely amazing and I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done for him, he was even Joseph in last years school nativity play and seeing him walk through the church dressed for his part on his walking frame with the support of the nursery and whole school behind him was absolutely wonderful. Sharon
My daughter spent two years at Cheswardine Nursery and absolutely adored Leanne, she came on leaps and bounds all thanks to the amazing job the staff did and still do, and we will certainly be sending our newest addition when they arrive and once old enough to go. Amy
The staff have been amazing with both boys even when my youngest gets upset about leaving me from a half term or just having one of those mardy days, Leanne and the rest of the girls just take it all in and within minutes I have a message to say that he’s absolutely fine and settled. He loves going to nursery, enjoys all the different activities Leanne comes up with and just how they all get to know all their interests and involve them within nursery!! He will truly miss it come September!! Becky
