Make your own evacuee label – Evacuee labels Either print or make your own. Remember the date will be in the year 1939 or 1940, at the beginning of World War 2. Which city have you been evacuated from? Have you been evacuated to Cheswardine?

At the moment we are looking at light in science. Can you look at the powerpoint below that talks about the dangers of the sun. Can you then design either a hat (bronze level) or create a poster explaining why you should wear sunglasses (silver/gold level). Remember to think about the dangers of UV light.

Class 2 Homework 26.11.21

Hello Class 2

Please complete these tasks by next Friday (03/11/21).

 

This week your homework tasks are on Purple Mash. Log in to Purple mash and complete your 2Dos. The homework is a recap of our learning this week and recap some of your other grammar knowledge from this term.

Year 3, you have 2 2Dos to complete. One is an adverbs quiz, which we have done a lot of work on this week. The other is to recap your consonant and vowel knowledge.

Year 4, you have 2 2Dos to complete as well. You have a task on time conjunctions, which you know really well. Your other task is to check your knowledge of possessive apostrophes (E.G. Jim’s toys were hidden in the back garden. The toys belong to Jim so you need an apostrophe.)

 

Remember to practise your times tables on TT rockstars or Hit the Button. It’s your choice! Year 3 please continue to work on your number bonds as well.

This week’s main task is to complete your comprehension. These were handed out Friday afternoon and need to be handed back by Friday 26th November.

Year 4 – You can choose to either practise times tables on Hit the Button or TT rockstars.

Year 3 – Please continue to practise your number bonds to 20 on Hit the Button. Let’s see if you can beat your scores from this week.

Continue to read every night. I have been able to give 4 children reading dojos this week for getting to a golden book on our reading tree. For each golden book you can get 5 dojo’s, so it is definitely worth it.

Class 2 Homework 12.11.21

This week I would like you to label the Ukulele. Everyone has been given a sheet however, if you need another you can find it linked here.

Year 3 – This week you can take a break from TT rockstars and instead have a go at Hit the Button. All of year 3 have really enjoyed this game and it’s a great way to practise your maths. Please can you practise your number bonds to 20 – to get to this, press Play Game, Number Bonds and then Make 20. I will be checking your knowledge next week.

Year 4 – This week you can take a break from TT rockstars. Please use Hit the Button to practise your times tables. You all know which timetables you should be practising.

Read at home and note down your pages in your Reading Diary.
